PERIDOT GEMSTONES
Peridot is the birthstone for August. It is found in Burma, Norway, Pakistan, Hawaii, Arizona and in some meteorites. It is found in different shades of yellow/green and is rated at 6.5 to 7.0 on the mohs scale of hardness. The refractive index is 1.630 to 1.695 and the crystal system is orthorhombic.
