IDOCRASE GEMSTONES (Vesuvianite)
Vesuvianite got its name because it was first discovered within included blocks or adjacent to lavas on Mount Vesuvius. It is rarely found in a transparent variety that can be faceted, making a lovely gemstone that is perfect for jewelry. Vesuvianite has metaphysical properties that help disolve anger and relieve fear and anxiety. Idocrase is a 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
